<br />all persons inquiring about swim lessons or season passes are informed that Andover <br />(previous~y) and Ramsey have subsidized the offering of resident rates (if applicable). <br /> <br />Anoka's Recreation Supervisor ~lso added that in light of the decline in season pass <br />purchases, they anticipate offering 'punch card' purchases, such that differing family <br />members could use the aquatic center - as opposed to just those named when buying <br />season passes. In addition, she indicated that they could provide brochure information to <br />Ramsey Elementary and PACT Charter schools for the students to take home, as well as <br />potentially other venues. She also added that the mailing list for 2009 Aquatic <br />Center flyer includes 525 Ramsey households out of 2000. <br /> <br />The other information that the Commission may wish to consider is that, Anoka County Parks' <br />Bunker Beach facility continues to gain in popularity and anticipated to open for the summer <br />season in2010, will be the addition of a 'Lazy River' feature to compliment the other features <br />there. <br /> <br />Attached for your information are the items from February's case, along with the flyer <br />mentioned above, as well as other promotional items. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend to City Council a position on the City of Anoka's proposal, based. upon <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Director of Public Works/Principal City Engineer <br />Civil Engin~er <br /> <br />../ <br /> <br />P&R: <br /> <br />03/12/09 <br />
