<br />CASE #4 <br /> <br />RECEIVE BIDS AND AUTHORIZE THE CONSTRUCTION OF SUNFISH LAKE <br />PARK AND TRAIL ALONG SUNFISH LAKE BOULEVARD <br />By: Mark Riverblood, Parks Supervisor <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On Wednesday March 11th, 2009 bids will have been opened for the construction of Sunfish <br />Lake Park. Staff will provide the Bid Tabulation and a recommendation at the March 12th, 2009 <br />Park and Recreation Commission meeting. The purpose of this case is to review the bids, and <br />provide a recommendation to City Council for the both the park's construction, as well as the <br />trail parallel to Sunfish Lake Boulevard from Sunwood Drive, north to the existing trail at the <br />Fox Knoll subdivision. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As indicated, more information will be presented at the meeting. Attached is a previous case <br />'History of Sunfish Lake' that the Commission may find useful, and an 'available funds' <br />worksheet which includes the project estimates. <br /> <br />Funding: <br /> <br />The funding would be from the Park Trust Fund, which has an approximate balance of <br />$4,168,111. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommendation is pending and will be available for the meeting. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Based upon discussion <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Director of Public Works/Principal City Engineer <br /> <br />P &R: 03/12/09 <br />
