Commissioner Data stated the Charter Commission tried really hard to cover everything; however, <br />sometimes the language doesn't always capture the intent. The Charter will also change as the City <br />changes. <br /> <br />Case #4: Discussion of Agenda Items for the Next Meeting <br /> <br />Chairman Steffen felt the City Councilmembers and the new City Administrator should be asked if <br />they have any issues for the Charter Commission to place on their next agenda for discussion. He <br />also suggested writing an article for the Ramsey resident informing residents that the Charter <br />Commission held its first meeting for the year and if there are any suggestions, concerns or <br />questions, to address them via letter or telephone to the Charter Commission, c/o City Hall. <br /> <br />Commissioner Data stated that an explanation of what the City Charter Commission does, its rules <br />and the rules by which the City Charter can be amended should be included in the article for the <br />Ramsey Resident. He added that a change to the Charter is a serious matter since the Charter is the <br />City's Constitution. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sieber stated that letters from residents would prompt an agenda item. <br /> <br />Case #3: Schedule the Next Charter Commission Meeting <br /> <br />It was decided that the next Charter Commission meeting would be held on Thursday, June 20, <br />1991 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Chairman Steffen stated he likes to start meetings on time and doesn't feel it is necessary to have <br />lengthy meetings. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Stretar and seconded by Commissioner Sieber to adjourn the regular <br />meeting of the Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Steffen, Commissioners Stretar, Sieber, Data, Donovan <br />and Netzloff. Voting No: None.
