1) <br />2) <br />3) <br />4) <br /> <br />City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated February 27, 1991. <br />City Council regular meeting minutes dated March 13, 1991. <br />City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated March 26, 1991. <br />City Council regular meeting minutes dated April 9, 1991. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Accept Letter of Resignation from Commissioner Muller. <br /> <br />Commissioner Muller explained to the Economic Development Commission that he would be <br />resigning. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Vevea and seconded by Commissioner Nelson to accept Commissioner <br />Muller's letter of resignation and recommend to City Council that the vacancy on the Commission <br />be advertised. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Nelson, Vevea Muller, and <br />Kent. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Zillinger, Greenberg, Gorecki and Fults. <br /> <br />The members of the Economic Development Commission then thanked Commissioner Muller for <br />his years of time and service to the community through the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Case #2: Sign Ordinance. <br /> <br />The Commission began the review of the proposed sign ordinance with Section 9.12.08 Business <br />Type Districts. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Shopping Center Signs: The guidelines for centers versus strip malls will need tO be <br />addressed within the site plan process. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Automobile Dealership Signs: Pan c, Secondary ground sign should be allowed a height <br />of 25 feet, just as a primary ground sign. <br /> <br />Subd. 5 Advertising Signs: Part c, Single pole or mono-pole design could have a problem with <br />structural stability. Staff should review this requirement. Part f, This requirement needs <br />clarification, it is vague. <br /> <br />Section 9.12.09 Industrial and Business Warehouse Type Districts. <br /> <br />Chairman Wagner feels that ground signs should be allowed a height of 25 feet in the industrial <br />and business warehouse type districts in order to maintain some consistency in the regulation of <br />ground signs. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nelson mentioned that all numbers should be both spelled out in written form and <br />in numerical form throughout the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Muller excused himself from the meeting at this time. <br /> <br />Section 9.12.17 Exemptions. Subd. 3.b. Should say "...four square (4) feet or less." <br /> <br />Section 9.12.23 Removal of Signs by the Zoning Administrator.
