Case #3: Monument Signs for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Monument signs should provide a positive impression of our community. Various styles, themes, <br />locations and logos were discussed. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Fults and seconded by Commissioner Greenberg to conduct a "City <br />Motto" contest at the Ramsey Business EXPO. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Fults, Greenberg, Kent, Marn, <br />Nelson and Vevea. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Gorecki. <br /> <br />James Gromberg was directed to obtain quotes for prices and styles of monument signs. <br /> <br />Case #4: Future Plans for the Industrial Area. <br /> <br />Photographs of potential problems in the industrial area were presented to the EDC. Does the EDC <br />view these areas as a potential problem? If so, how much should the situation be changed? The <br />Commission discussed the situation. <br /> <br />Chairman Wagner stated that there should be minimum standards for businesses. <br /> <br />Commissioner Greenberg asked at what level is code compliance valued, hopefully not to the point <br />of driving them out of business. <br /> <br />Chairman Wagner stated that code enforcement must be consistent across the board with no <br />favoritism. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kent and seconded by Commissioner Marn to develop suggestions for <br />the clean-up of the industrial area. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Fults, Greenberg, Kent, Marn, <br />Nelson and Vevea. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Gorecki. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by Commissioner Fults to adjourn the regular <br />meeting of the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Fults, Greenberg, Kent, Marn, <br />Nelson and Vevea. Voting No: None.
