Councilmember introduced the following resolution and. moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09-03-XXX <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2009 MIDYEAR BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF AMENDING THE CITY'S GENERAL FUND BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, during the year 2009, the Ramsey City Council acted on matters impacting <br />revenue and. expenditures budgets of the City's General fund for items that were not included in <br />the original budget for December 31, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, for- financial reporting purposes, amendments to the City's General Fund <br />Budget are to be made in the form of a Budget Amendment Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, due to a significant decrease in budgeted building permit revenue -and <br />Market Value Homestead Credit, the City needed to amend their General Fund Expenditures to <br />offset this reduction. <br />WHEREAS, the total amount of General Fund Revenues decreased by $405,321. for this <br />midyear amendment; and. <br />WHEREAS, the total amount of General ,Fund Expenditures decreased for this midyear <br />amendment in the amount of $405,321; and <br />WHEREAS, the offsetting revenue and expenditure reductions produced a 2009 <br />amended balanced budget of $9,696,809. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the 2009. General Fund Budgetwill be re-amended to produce a balanced budget in <br />the amount of $9,696,809 with revenues being reduced by $405,321 and expenditures <br />being decreased by $405,321. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 24th day of March, 2009. <br />-119- <br />
