Chairman Hetland stated he had the name of a contact person who <br />would make a presentation to the Commission and/or City Council as <br />to how to go about starting the program. <br /> <br />The Commission agreed Chairman Hetland should make the contact and <br />schedule a presentation on the program, hopefully at the March ? <br />meeting. <br /> <br />4) Commissioner Prall provided a copy of the City of Fridley's <br />brochure of their parks. Mr. Otto stated that a parks brochure for <br />the City of Ramsey was comp]ete~d Qu~ got,p4~_q~pted. He agreed to <br />find out what happened to 43e~n~'3%~o~'~P~¢~'~}{/ back for the <br />Commission's consideration of either having it printed, or possibly <br />putting it in the Ramsey Resident, or possibly including it in the <br />Community Education summer school bulletin. <br /> <br />5) In light of the residents' request to rename a portion of <br />River's Bend Park to the David R. Hartley Park, Commissioner <br />Swokowski thought it might be wise for the Commission to establish <br />a policy and some criteria with regard to the renaming of parks in <br />case the situation arises again in the future. <br /> <br />6) Commissioner Prall reported on the Becky Weiss Roadeo to be <br />held May 5 at the Ramsey Elementary School. It is a major <br />operation stressing the importance of safety while biking. It is <br />intended to be an annual event. <br /> <br />7) Consensus of the Commission was to review the Ramsey Elementary <br />School park at the March Meeting and Central Park in April to <br />review the monies left and fine-tune the priorities.
