Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #09-03-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2009 MIDYEAR BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING THE CITY'S GENERAL FUND BUDGET WHEREAS, during the year 2009, the Ramsey City Council acted on matters impacting revenue and expenditures budgets of the City's General fund for items that were not included in the original budget for December 31, 2009; and WHEREAS, for financial reporting purposes, amendments to the City's General Fund Budget are to be made in the form of a Budget Amendment Resolution; and WHEREAS, due to a significant decrease in budgeted building permit revenue and Market Value Homestead Credit, the City needed to amend their General Fund Expenditures to offset this reduction. WHEREAS, the total amount of General Fund Revenues decreased by $405,321 for this midyear amendment; and WHEREAS, the total amount of General Fund Expenditures decreased for this midyear amendment in the amount of$405,321; and WHEREAS, the offsetting revenue and expenditure reductions produced a 2009 amended balanced budget of $9,696,809. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the 2009 General Fund Budget will.be re-amended to produce a balanced budget in the amount of $9,696,809 with revenues being reduced by $405,321 and expenditures being decreased by $405,321. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day of March, 2009.
