Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #09-02-032 RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #09-02 (SEALCOAT AND CRACKFILL OF STREETS IN BOWERS MISSISSIPPI ACRES) WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted February 10, 2009, a feasibility study for the 2009 Street Maintenance Program has been prepared by Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, with reference to Improvement Project #09-02 (Sealcoat and Crackfill of the streets in Bowers Mississippi Acres) including the streets more specifically described below: and, Bowers Mississippi Acres Bowers Drive from to CuI de sac on eastern terminus WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council will consider the improvements of crackfilling and sealcoating of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 and the Ramsey City Code Section 4.60 at an estimated total cost of $31,901. 2) That a public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement ort the 10th day of March, 2009 in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center located at 7550 Sunwood Drive NW at 7:00 p.m. and the City Administrator shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Ramsey Councilmember Look Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Dehen Councilmember Jeffrey Councilmember McGlone Councilmember Wise and the following voted against the same: RESOLUTION #09-02-032 Page 1 of2
