City Administrator Ryan Schroeder explained that in the past the City hasn't written down
goals and that he would like to go into 1992 with City Council and staff having a more
clear direction. Mr. Schroeder added that the goals list is a working draft and when
completed, the intent is to have the City Council prioritize the goals contained in the draft.

A perspective comn-fission candidate inquired as to how success of the goals could be
measured.

Mr. Schroeder suggested that year end will provide a score card but most importantly this
process will improve input. Mr. Schroeder said that next Saturday's meeting was
published in the Anoka County Union and the Ramsey Resident and he hoped that there
will be a good turn out. He asked the Commission if there were goals that are not, but
should be, referred to the Park and Recreation Commission and vice versa.

Mr. Boos suggested that acquisition of Federal Cartridges 35 acres east of Central Park
might be the type of goal that the Commission would like to include in this list.

The consensus of the Commission was that they should examine the draft goals list and
generate comments on them before year-end.

^DJOURN

The consensus of the Commission was to adjourn the meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Mark Boos
Parks/Utilities Coordinator

PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION / NOVEMBER 14, 1991
Page 4 of 4
