Absent: Member LeTourneau. <br /> <br />EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Appoint 2009 Officers <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated the EDA Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson <br />terms expired December 31, 2008. The EDA should elect a Chairperson and Vice- <br />Chairperson/Treasurer for year 2009. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Elvig, seconded by Member Skaff, to nominate Chris Riley as EDA <br />Chairperson for 2009. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Members Elvig, Skaff, Look, and Steffen. Voting No: None. <br />Abstain: Chairperson Riley. Absent: Meniber LeTourneau. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Potential Business Park (Presentation) <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reviewed that identifying land for a future <br />industrial park was one of the items discussed for the 2009 EDA Work Plan. Curtis Martinson of <br />P.S.D., LLC is present to outline a concept to develop an industrial park on property in Ramsey. <br />The EDA should discuss its potential role in a project of this type. <br /> <br />Mr. Curtis Martinson, P.S.D., LLC, provided a presentation on a potential industrial park in the <br />City of Ramsey. He requested consideration by the EDA on whether there is interest in a <br />partnership with P.S.D., LLC on the proposed industrial park. <br /> <br />City Manager Ulrich, Mr. Martinson, Mr. Deal, Mr. Sharp and Mr. Pearson left the meeting. <br /> <br />The EDA discussed the potential industrial park and the possible role of the EDA in the project. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Board was support of the industrial park concept as presented in general, and to <br />authorize staff to move forward in discussions with P.S.D., LLC regarding the potential role of <br />the EDA in the industrial park. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />2009 Work Plan Update <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reviewed the revised 2009 EDA Work Plan based <br />on EDA discussion at the February EDA meeting. <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority/February 12,2009 <br />Page 2of5 <br />
