<br />Development Coordinator Sullivan agreed that a focus should be placed on those entities. No <br />formal action was taken on these matters. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />March EDA Meeting Date <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reviewed that the regular March EDA meeting is <br />scheduled to be held on March 12, 2009. The Economic Development Coordinator will be out of <br />the office from March 4th to March 13th. This leaves a number of options for the March meeting. <br />These options include, rescheduling it for another date in March, cancelling the March meeting, <br />or holding the meeting as scheduled without staff support from the Economic Development <br />Coordinator. The EDA has expressed interest in having a joint meeting/work session with the <br />City Council to discuss the EDA role in the Town Center. March 24th is a possible date to <br />schedule the joint EDAlCity Council work session meeting. He requested direction on how to <br />proceed. <br /> <br />There was discussion on an alternative March meeting date and items to be included on the <br />agenda. The agenda will include an update on the Buxton Study, the EDA's participation in <br />Town Center, and providing Council with the EDA 2009 Work Plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Skaff, seconded by Member Steffen, to direct staff to reschedule the March <br />EDA meeting to Thursday, March 19,2009 at 7:30 a.m. in the Alexander Ramsey Room with the <br />City Council invited to attend. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Members Skaff, Steffen, Elvig, and Look. <br />V oting No: None. Absent: Member LeTourneau. <br /> <br />Member Elvig left the meeting at 8:59 a.m. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Staff Update <br /> <br />The EDA reviewed the Staff Update. It was suggested that an announcement of the Business <br />Expo be included in the Anoka County Union. Concern was expressed regarding the impact of <br />the Sunfish Lake Boulevard Road Project on the area businesses. <br /> <br />MEMBER INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Motion by Member Steffen, seconded by Member Skaff, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
