Miller, <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />.J-. <br /> <br />.'/ <br />' , <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~SEY <br /> <br />At the recent strategic planning session, Councilmembers indicated that they would like <br />to discuss the Public Nuisance Ordinance at work session. A couple of the issues <br />mentioned include the following: <br />)> Enforcement in "rural" areas versus "urban" areas. <br />)> Enforcement levels - should this City be enforcing the ordinance at this time and <br />to what extent <br /> <br />Another item that staff would like to see addressed is the use of the Council as the <br />Hearing Officer. To streamline the process, staff would like the Council to consider <br />creating a Hearing Board to act as the hearing officer. <br /> <br />Action Statement: <br /> <br />Based upon Council discussion. <br /> <br />Reviewed byr <br /> <br />Police Chief <br />community.
