PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Ramsey conducted a special meeting on <br />Thursday, March 21, 1991 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairman Gerald Zimmerman <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Merland Otto, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner David Bawden <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the special Planning and Zoning meeting to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman adjourned the special meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission in <br />order to conduct a public hearing regarding Aluminum Recycling, Inc.; Case of Glen Rychner. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the special Planning and Zoning meeting back to order at 7:39 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, LaDue, <br />Hendriksen and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Bawden <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request for a Conditional Use Permit for an Aluminum Processing <br /> Facility; Case of Glen Rychner, Aluminum Recycling, Inc. <br /> <br />Merland Otto, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. stated that this conditional use permit <br />APPLICATIONis for the development and operation of an aluminum processing plant located on <br />Lot 2, Block 1 of Gateway North Industrial Park. It is a 2-1/2 acre lot zoned B-W, Business- <br />Warehouse.
