Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the resolution approving the issuance of an amended conditional usc permit to <br />Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Voting No: None. Abstain: <br />Thorud. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, LaDue and Terry. <br />Commissioner Hendriksen. Absent: Commissioners Bawden and <br /> <br />Case #2: Request for Site Plan Review; Case of Danny's Aluminum <br /> Processing, Inc., Mr. Daniel Karst, Jr. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that Mr. Karst is requesting site plan review to construct a 5,800 square foot <br />addition to his existing building at 14050 Basalt Street N.W. and hard surfacing a portion of Lots <br />2, 3 and 4. Because of a future expansion plan, he is asking to waive some curb and gutter <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to waive any curb on <br />parking areas and hard surfacing on Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 until the City installs storm sewer. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, ConmaisSioners Deemer, Terry, Hendriksen <br />and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Bawden and Thorud. <br /> <br />Mr. Karst stated he has reviewed, understands and is in agreement with the City Engineer's review <br />letter dated April 8, 1991. <br /> <br />With regard to #6: Landscaping and Screening, Mr. Karst described what he has for trees and <br />stated he would like to take out the berm and build a ten foot block wall. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen suggested if Mr. Karst wants to do something different with regard to <br />landscaping and screening, he should review his ideas with City Staff. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to recommend that city <br />Council approve Mr. Dan Karst's application for site plan approval contingent upon the City <br />Engineer's letter as modified by this Commission with the options of discussing with City Staff, <br />the items in #6 City Staff should then decide whether or not it has to be discussed with the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
