Add a definition of Attraction Boards to Section 9.12.02 (Definitions). <br /> <br />Have City Attorney Goodrich review 9.12.03 (General Provisions), Subd. 5 (Content) for <br />enforceability. <br /> <br />Amend Section 9.12.03 (General Provisions), Subd. 10 (Maintenance) to include the following <br />language: "The Zoning Officer will use the following guidelines to determine if the sign is <br />unkempt: mst, peeling paint, structure damage, message damage, weathering." <br /> <br />Delete Subd. 4 (Motion Signs) from Section 9.12.04 (Prohibited Signs). <br /> <br />The Commissioners discussed Subd. 6 (Projecting Signs), Subd. 7 (Roof Signs), and Subd. 10 <br />(Signs Painted on Walls) of Section 9.12.04 (Prohibited Signs) and directed that these items be <br />brought up for further discussion at the next workshop meeting. <br /> <br />Amend Section 9.12.05 (Temporary Signs), Subd. 1 (Banners, pennants and whirling devices) to <br />include and refer to revolving searchlights as a permitted sign during grand openings only. <br />banners, pennants and searchlights used in grand openings will require a permit from the City but <br />the fee will be waived. Also reduce the time frame for grand opening signage to seven days, <br />versus the ten proposed. <br /> <br />Amend Section 9.12.05 (Temporary Signs), Subd. 5 (Real Estate Signs), Item (a) to define a <br />residential project as one with four (4) or more dwelling units. <br /> <br />Amend Section 9.12.05 (Temporary Signs), Subd. 5 (Real Estate Signs), Item (a.4) to require <br />removal of signs when the project is 100% complete, sold or leased. <br /> <br />Amend Section 9.12.05 (Temporary Signs), Subd. 5 (Real Estate Signs), Item (b.2) to increase <br />real estate signs for non-residential property to 32 square feet. <br /> <br />Amend Section 9.12.05 (Temporary Signs), Subd. 6 (Portable Signs) to eliminate the requirement <br />that portable signs be battery operated. <br /> <br />Amend Section 9.12.07 (Residential type Districts) by deleting Subd. 2 (Bench Signs). <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />The Commissioners scheduled the next workshop for Thursday, May 16, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Consensus was to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />P&Z/EDC Workshop/April 18, 1991 <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
