PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing to hear the request for <br />the revised preliminary plat of River Bluffs Planned Unit Development on Tuesday, August 6, <br />1991 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota, <br />55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairman Gerald Zimmerman <br />Commissioner David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Bradley Thomd <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Michael Terry <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski presented an exhibit of the proposed revisions to the preliminary plat of <br />River Bluffs P.U.D. <br /> <br />Dorothy Stadfelt, 15111 Juniper Ridge Drive N.W., Ramsey - stated that although she received <br />notice of this public hearing, some of her neighbors did not and she inquired about the regulations <br />for public hearing notice. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the notice is sent out to residents within 350' of the <br />boundaries of the plat. <br /> <br />Ms. Stadfelt stated that Lots 1 and 14 in Stanhope Addition did not receive notice; however, Lot 16 <br />did receive notice. Ms. Stadfelt further stated that, in her opinion, the public hearing notice was <br />vague and evasive. <br /> <br />Gary Huser, 4760 - 153rd Lane N.W., Ramsey - stated he is the property owner of Lot 1 in <br />Stanhope Terrace. He was not notified and he felt that since he would be the one to get all the <br />traffic, he should have been notified. He stated he moved into the neighborhood two months ago. <br />At the time he purchased his property, the neighborhood was nice and quiet and now with all the <br />traffic that will be routed past his property, he is very disappointed and inquired if there was a <br />better way to revise the street plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski reviewed the previously approved street layout and the proposed revisions to it. <br />He explained that even though there will be more traffic generated, the revision appears to be the <br />best plan. <br /> <br />P&Z Commission/Public Hearing/River Bluffs P.U.D. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
