PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a special meeting to continue business <br />from their August 6th agenda on Tuesday, August 20, 1991 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairman Gerald Zimmerman <br />Commissioner David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Bradley Thomd <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the special Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to order at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #4: Request for Site Plan Review of Mike's Woodworking; Case of Mike <br /> Sjoquist <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained that Mr. Sjoquist is requesting site plan review to construct <br />a 1,600 square foot cabinet making shop on his property which is zoned P.U.D. and is located on <br />Lot 4, Block 1, Pineview Estates 2nd Addition. Pineview Estates 2nd Addition P.U.D. was <br />approved for development of the lots with a combination of residential and commercial uses. The <br />covenants requires three rows of coniferous trees to be planted between the residential and <br />commercial use. She explained that the front 200 feet of each of the lots in Pineview 2nd is for <br />residential use only and Mr. Sjoquist is proposing to plant the tree screen within that 200 foot <br />"residential area. <br /> <br />Mr. Sjoquist inquired if the coniferous trees had to be a certain size to which the Commission <br />replied no but that if any of the trees died out they would have to be replaced to maintain the <br />screening. <br /> <br />Driveway specifications were discussed and it was determined that the covenants did not specify a <br />required surface.
