PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, November <br />5, 1991 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />55303 to hear the request for preliminary plat approval of Wood Pond Hills; Case of BLH <br />Development Company. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Acting Chairman Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Brad Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Chairman Gerald Zimmerman <br />Commissioner David Bawden <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Acting Chairman Hendriksen called the public heating to order at 8:12 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that BLH is requesting preliminary plat approval of Wood Pond <br />Hills. She added that Wood Pond Hills consists of approximately 72 acres proposed to be <br />subdivided into 135 lots. Mr. Dickman Knutson is present representing BLH Development. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that he owns the property adjacent to this subdivision and is <br />negotiating for an outlot parcel on this property when it becomes finalized. <br /> <br />Mr. Knutson stated there are four phases of development. Phase I is scheduled for 1992, Phase <br />III would be developed in 1994, with the final phase in 1995. Mr. Knutson stated that the area to <br />the west in Phase I, is heavily wooded and that grading will be done in three phases. He added <br />that all the woods that can be saved will be saved. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Tom Patchen, 6351 - 160th Lane N.W., Ramsey - inquired if the DNR had been contacted with <br />regard to the lake in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Knutson replied that he has spent approximately 1ol/2 years talking with the DNR. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that the City has a letter from DNR stating they have no immediate concerns. <br />She included this letter in the agenda packet. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning & Zoning Commission/November 5, 1991 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
