Mayor Gamec noted that the Council had received a letter from Altron, Inc. with questions about <br />the proposed name change and requesting a written response to the questions as well as an <br />outline of the outcome of the public hearing. <br /> <br />David Fish, 5515 Industry Boulevard NW, Ramsey, stated that he could not see why they would <br />want to make the name change because it will cause a lot of inconvenience. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Cook, Elvig, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:23 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Action <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the City Council was called back to order at 7:23 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that if Industry Boulevard is renamed in the past the City has worked <br />with businesses on the issue. Generally it is one to two years that the post office will deliver mail <br />with the old address. After that time impacted business owners or property owners can submit a <br />bill to the City and the City often covers those costs. Generally it has not cost the residents <br />anything for the name change. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to direct the City <br />Attorney to prepare and introduce an Ordinance changing the name of C.R. #116 within the City <br />of Ramsey limits to Bunker Lake Boulevard. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Pearson, Cook, Kurak, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Introduce Ordinance to Vacate Drainage and Utility <br />Easements on Lot 1, Block 1, Riverview Bowl; Case of Tim Holm <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:27 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated-that Tim Holm, owner of Lot 1, Block 1, <br />Riverview Bowl (site of Holm's Superbowl) and Lot 3, Block 4, Riverside West, recently applied <br />for and received staff approval for an administrative subdivision to convey the southwesterly 24 <br />feet of the Superbowl site to Lot 3 of Riverdale West. In conjunction with Administrative <br />Subdivisions, a routine procedure is to vacate any drainage and utility easements on existing <br /> <br />P66 <br /> <br />City Council/July 8, 2003 <br /> Page 6 of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />
