· Prior to any alterations to the buiJ~,.ding, all necessary building permits will need to be applied <br /> for and approved by the City. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the Interim Use Permit to allow for a period of three years to use the <br />existing land as an unimproved parking lot, to have outdoor storage, and to use an existing building <br />for educational purposes subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />· It is the intention of the City to require that the eastern access to Hwy. 10 is closed with <br /> access coming from the existing Anoka Technical College parking lot once the property is <br /> permanently improved. As part of the access closure, the City will require a split-rail fence <br /> or similar material be placed along the southern boundary to discourage, direct access onto <br /> Hwy. 10. In. addition, the City will require similar fencing or the'installation of curb and <br /> gutter as part of the permanent improvements along the western edge of the property to <br /> discourage trespassing onto the western lot's access. As part of the interim use permit, the <br /> existing access on to Hwy. 10 will remain open. <br />· Any incidents on the subject property that will need public safety services (police and fire) <br /> will need to be routed to the City of Ramsey Police and Fire Departments. <br />· A six-fbot high screening barrier must be constructed on. ail. four sides of the storage area. <br /> The fence design and material are subject to approval by the City of Ramsey. <br />· No more than 10 vehicles will be allowed to be stored within the storage area. No other <br /> equipment or material shall be stored in the outdoor storage area. <br />· The existing pole building may be used for storage as long as the building maintains <br /> compliance with the state building and fire codes. Staff will be visiting the site to inspect <br /> this building to ensure that it is compliant with all applicable codes. <br />· Prior to any alterations to the existing masonry building, all necessary building permits will <br /> need to be applied for and approved by the City. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #03-08- .
