MINNESOTA MISCELLANEOUS ACTS <br /> <br />170 and the enactment of this act, include acts necessary to bring the <br />county, its officers and employees within the provisions of this act. <br /> Subd. 4. The provisions of ~Iinnesota Statutes i971~ Chapter 170, <br />as amended by Laws 1973. Chapter 35, Sections 37 and 38. shall apply <br />to a person who is involved in a motor vehicle accident occurring before <br />January 1, 1975. Money deposited with the comm/ssioner in accordance <br />with Minnesota Statutes 1971, Chapter 170~ as amended by Laws 1973, <br />Chapter 35. Sections 37 and 38, shall be retained by the commissioner <br />and disbursed only in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 1971, <br />Chapter 170, as amended by Laws 1973~ Chapter 35, Sections 37 and 38. <br />An operator's license suspended in accordance with Minnesota Statutes <br />1971, Chapter 170, as amended by Laws 1973, Chapter 35, Sections 37 <br />and 38, shall be reinstated only in accordance with Minnesota Statutes <br />1971. Chapter 170, as amended by Laws 1973, Chapter 35, Sections 37 <br />and 38. <br /> <br />SNOWMOBILES <br /> <br /> 84.81 DEFINITIONS. Subdivision 1. For the purposes of Laws <br />1967~ chapter 876, the terms defined herein shah have the meaning <br />ascribed to them. <br /> Subd. 2. "Person" includes an individual, partnership, corporation. <br />the state and its agencies and subdivisions, and any b(~ty of persons. <br />whether incorporated or not. <br /> Subd. 3. "Snowmobile" means a self-propelled vehicle designed for <br />travel on snow or ice steered by skis or runners. <br /> Subd. 4. "Owner" means a person, other than a lien holder, having <br />the property in or title to a snowmobile entitled to the use or possession <br />thereof. <br /> Subd. 5. "Operate" means to ride in or on and control the <br />operation of a snowmobile. <br /> Subd. 6. "Operator" means every person who operates or is in <br />actual physical control of a snowmobile. <br /> Subd. 7. "Register" means the act of assigning a registration <br />number to a snowmobile. <br /> Subd. 8. "Commissioner" means the commissioner of natural <br />resources acting directly or through his authorized agent. <br /> Subd, 9. "Roadway" means that portion of a highway improved, <br />designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel. <br /> Subd. 10. "Dealer" means a person, partnership, or corporation <br />engaged in the business of selling snowmobiles at wholesale or retail. <br /> Subd. 11. "Manufacturer" means a person, partnership, or cor- <br />poration engaged in the business of manufacturing snowmobiles. <br /> <br /> 84.82 SNOWMOBILE REGISTRATION. Subdivision 1. General <br />requirements.
