that the person named therein was the operator thereof at the time it was <br />operated contrary to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 84.81 to 84.88, 100.26, <br />Subdivision 1, or 100.29, Subdivisions 28 or 29. The provisions of this sub- <br />division do not prohibit or limit the prosecution of a snowmobile operator <br />for violating any of the sections referred to in this subdivision. <br /> <br /> · Sec. 11. Minnesota Statutes 1969, Section 168.66, Subdivision 5, is <br />amended to read: <br /> <br /> Subd. 5. "Motor vehicle" means any device propelled or drawn by any power <br />other than muscular power, in, upon, or by which any person or property is, or <br />may be transported, or drawn upon a highway, excepting building and road <br />construction equipment not subject to motor vehicle registration fees, snowmobiles, <br />farm tractors, and agricultural machinery not designed primarily for highway <br />transportation, but which may incidentally ~ransport persons os property on a <br />public highway. <br /> <br /> Sec. 12. EFFECTIVE DATE. This act is effective July 1, 1971.. <br /> <br />Approved May 27, 1971. <br /> <br /> <br />
