RESOLUTION #09 -04- <br />Attachment: B <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING POLICY FOR ACCEPTING PARK DONATIONS, MONUMENTS, <br />MEMORIALS, AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, a formal policy for accepting park donations, monuments, memorials, and other <br />improvements is needed to absorb donation proposals in a manner that is consistant with the goals of the <br />City Parks and Recreation System; and <br />WHEREAS, this policy is needed to provide a standard proceedure for accepting park <br />donations; and ' <br />WHEREAS, the City encourages donations of land, facilities, equipment, park <br />improvements and money to support the Parks and Recreation system. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the attached Policy for Accepting Park Donations, <br />Monuments, Memorials, and Other Improvements dated April 14 2009. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the <br />14th day of April, 2009. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Mayor <br />
