Associate Planner stated that this is only intended for business and employment districts not for <br />residential areas. <br />Commissioner Brauer suggested limiting the size to 1/2 acre rather than a full acre. <br />Community Development Director Miller stated that would be to 21,780 sq. ft. <br />Commissioner Van Scoy stated that he would be comfortable with 1 /2 acre. <br />Commissioner Nixt stated that he is leaning back towards allowing the 20% and keeping an eye <br />on it to see if it needs to be pulled back further. <br />Associate Planner Gladhill reiterated that the intent was for this to apply to business and <br />employment districts and suggested adding language to exclude residential. <br />Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, to recommend that the <br />City Council approve the Ordinance to amend City Code Section 9.03 (Administration), with a <br />language change to reflect that aggregate expansion cannot be greater than 20% of existing <br />building footage, that language be added that the Town Center and residential areas are not <br />eligible for administrative review, and add language that staff will report to Planning <br />Commission and Council on a monthly basis. <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Nixt suggested that if this is clearly intended for this process <br />to apply to specific zoning districts, then he feels they should be specifically identified. <br />Motion amended by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, to add <br />language that specifically identifies which zoning districts this Ordinance applies to. <br />Amended Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chair Pro Tem Van Scoy, Commissioners Brauer, <br />Cleveland, Nixt, and Rogers. Voting No: None.
