Background: <br />The delinquent utility billing accounts were levied to the County in November, 2008, for utility <br />accounts that were more than sixty days past due as of September 1, 2008. <br />The first abatement issue pertains to the original certification letter being sent to individual <br />townhomes within the Sunfish Ponds Townhomes. A management association is responsible for <br />these bills and has stepped forward and resolved the outstanding delinquency. Thus, PIN #'s 26- <br />32 -25 -33 -0192, PIN #26- 32 -25 -33 -0193, PIN #26- 32 -25 -33 -0194, and PIN 426- 32 -25 -33 -0195 <br />each need to be abated in the amount of $717.56. <br />The second issue pertains to an incorrect PID number being recorded during the certification of <br />delinquent accounts to the County. PID # 32 -25 -12 -0051— 11561 Yakima Court was <br />incorrectly levied for $978.89. The correct PID number to be levied should have been PID #24- <br />32- 25-12- 0021 -15561 Yakima Street in the amount of $978.89. <br />In order for the County to correct the above errors, they require the City to pass a resolution <br />abating the incorrect PID numbers. The County Abatement application forms are attached. <br />Funding Source: <br />The levy to be collected are for delinquent utility accounts in which the revenue collections are <br />recorded in the City's Enterprise funds. <br />Council Action: <br />Adoption of Resolution #09- 04 -XXX authorizing the abatement of PID #24- 32 -25 -12 -0051 in <br />the amount of $978.89 and certify the levy to the correct PID #'s of 24- 32 -25 -12 -0021 in the <br />amount of $978.89 and abating PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0192, PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0193, PID #26 -32- <br />25 -33 -0194 and PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0195 in the amount of $717.56 each. <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator: t4 <br />Finance Officer <br />CC: 4/14/09 <br />ABATEMENT OF PARCELS CERTIFIED IN ERROR <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />Consent: 10 <br />
