Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #09- 04 -XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ABATEMENT OF PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0195, PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0193, PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0194, AND PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0195 IN THE AMOUNT OF $717.56 EACH. AND AUTHORIZING THE ABATEMENT OF PID #24- 32 -25 -12 -0051 IN THE AMOUNT OF $978.89 THAT WAS CERTIFIED IN ERROR AND LEVYING THE CORRECT PID NUMBER OF 24- 32 -25 -12 -0021 IN THE AMOUNT OF $978.89 WHEREAS, in November 2008, the City levied delinquent utility billing accounts to the County for collection with the 2009 property taxes; and WHEREAS, after certification to the County, the City was notified by the management association of the Sunfish Ponds Townhomes that they are responsible for delinquent irrigation utilities and not the individual homeowners; and WHEREAS, the City had levied the delinquent irrigation to four individual properties; WHEREAS, the City has been paid in full for the delinquent utilities by the management company; WHEREAS, The four individual Properties with PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0192, PID #26 -32- 25 -33 -0193, PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0194, and PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0195, in the respective amount of $717.56 each, need to be abated; WHEREAS, also during the certification of the assessments to the County, an incorrect PID number was given; and WHEREAS, PID #24- 32 -25 -12 -0051 in the amount of $978.89 needs to be abated and the correct PID number of 24- 32 -25 -12 -0021 in the amount of $978.89 needs to be levied, and WHEREAS, the County requires an application for abatement to be submitted and a resolution passed before an error can be corrected or abated and the correct PID numbers charged. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the abatement of PID #26- 32- 25 -33- 0192, PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0193, PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0194 and PID #26- 32 -25 -33 -0195 in the respective amount of $717.56 each as the delinquent irrigation has been settled by the management association.
