Background <br />CONSIDER A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />By: Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />CC CASE # I <br />In the fall of 2008, staff began the annual recruitment and selection process to fill seven <br />seats on various boards and commissions. All vacancies were advertised in the Ramsey <br />Resident, the Anoka County Union - Shopper, utility bills and on the City's website and <br />QCTV. <br />On March 25, 2009 and March 31, 2009 the City Council conducted 21 interviews to fill <br />seven vacancies. Incumbents seeking reappointment and new applicants were considered <br />in one collective recruitment, interview and selection process. <br />Recommendation <br />It was the consensus of the City Council that the following individuals would be <br />appointed to the board or commission indicated. Each term would begin immediately <br />and expire on March 31, 2013, with the exception of the Economic Development <br />Authority term, which would begin immediately and expire on March 31, 2015. <br />Economic Development Authority <br />• Ms. Kristine Williams <br />Environmental Policy Board <br />• Ms. Kathleen Riley- Daniels <br />• Mr. John Enstrom <br />Park and Recreation Commission <br />• Ms. Melody Shryock <br />• Ms. Angela Olsen <br />Planning Commission <br />• Gary Levine <br />• Andrew Dunaway <br />Funding Source <br />Board and commission members are paid a stipend of $25 per meeting. These funds are <br />included in the 2009 General Fund Budget; therefore, there are no additional budgetary <br />
