<br />WHEREAS, with the addition of a station in Ramsey, significant additional ridership <br />and capacity to serve the Northstar Commuter Rail project will be immediately available to <br />support the new service. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />I) That the City Council hereby requests the Anoka County Regional Rail Authority <br />and the Northstar Corridor Development Authority to initiate the final design and <br />environmental documentation to provide a fully functioning rail station in the City <br />of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Dehen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Wise <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 24th day of March 2009. pd- <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />) <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution #09-03-063 <br />Page 2 of2 <br />
