The roadway definition basis far low speed roads most commonly, but not <br />always, falls into one of two models: <br />. "Urban District," or other reference t6 a single geographic territory (this is <br />the Minnesataapproach),or > , <br />. establishment of two separate types of "low speed" geographic territories; <br />one area for "Business District" and one area for ~'Residence District." <br />.. Task force members related anecdotal <br />evidence in which new Minnesota reside11ts from surrounding states express surprise <br />and .disappointment at the statutory 30 .MPH limit. <br /> <br />2.2 Interviews with City Engineers <br /> <br />Atthe beginning of the study ,prior to the fIrst Task Force meeting, interviews were held <br />with two city engineers (who were also members of the Task Force) to oj,tl.1.in detailed <br />backgrou11don speed limit issues in their communities.
