With much of the geography of the county being rural; Carver County <br />personnel are knowledgeable about rural residential applications as well as communities <br />with built-up residential neighborhoods such as Chanhassen. The housing stock within the <br />county is "newll (in comparison to the overall Twin Cities a.rea). Carver County typically <br />. exhibits modern subdivision design parameters and most residential streets feature limited <br />amoilr1ts of on-street parking. <br /> <br />:E3urnsville represents. a fully bu.i1t-up community with typical suburban residential <br />developmentpattems.St. Paul represents a classic older, core city with a grid development <br />structure, a higher dens~ty of houses,. and a higher degree of on-street parking and <br />pedestrian and bicycl~activity. <br /> <br />The major,consistoiltfi:nciings among the three departments include the following: <br /> <br />.
