Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOL UTION #09-04-072 RESOLUTION REVISING MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM DESIGNATIONS WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for a system of arterial and collector thoroughfare; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System (MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and maintenance of such an arterial and collector system; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to modify the designated MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the following MSAS segments be added to the system: A nonexistent roadway segment that extends from the eastern terminus of the existing 142nd Avenue NW cul-de- sac east to Traprock Street NW and then north to Riverdale Drive. This new segment comprises 0.55 miles. 2. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and, that upon approval of the revisions of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, improved and maintained as a part of the MSAS of the City of Ramsey. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Look and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Ramsey Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Look Councilmember Dehen Councilmember Jeffrey Councilmember McGlone Councilmember Wise and the following voted against the same: none RESOLUTION 09-04-072 Page 1 of2
