<br />ORDINANCE #09-XX <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMEMDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE, WHICH . <br />CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER <br />OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9.02 (Definitions), 9.11 (Performance <br />Standards), 9.20 (Zoning Districts), and 9.50 (Subdivision). <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter ofthe City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Section 9.02 (Definitions) is hereby amended to include the following language: <br /> <br />Natural Area - An area that does not include noxious weeds that is purposely left <br />to grow in a natural state and contains vegetation that can maintain itself in a stable condition. <br /> <br />Organic Matter - Decayed plant materials that are no longer identifiable or <br />recognizable as the original plant and have been biologically transformed into a humus-like <br />material. <br /> <br />Topsoil- Black dirt composed of unconsolidated material, largely undecomposed <br />organic matter that is a suitable foundation for vegetative growth. The composition of the topsoil <br />shall include a well balanced medium consisting ofthe following: <br /> <br />. A maximum sand/silt content of 20% <br />. A minimum organic content of35% <br />. A pH between 6 and 7 . <br />. Removal of all rocks in excess of 3/4" <br /> <br />Subsection 9.11.01 (General Requirements) is hereby amended to include the following <br />language: <br /> <br />-166- <br />
