Violation within the preceding five (5) years, of any law relating to theft, damage <br />or trespass to property, sale of a controlled substance, or operation of a business. <br />1. The owner of the premises licensed or to be licensed would not qualify for a <br />license under the terms of this Section. <br />7.13.17 Off-site storage. Upon written request, the police chief may approve anoff-site <br />locked and secured storage facility. The pawnbroker shall permit inspection of the facility in <br />accordance with section 7.13:05. All provisions of this Section regarding record keeping and <br />reporting apply to the facility and its contents. Property shall be stored in compliance with all <br />provisions~of the city code. The pawnbroker must either own the building in which the business <br />is conducted, and any approved off--site storage facility, or have a lease on the business premises. <br />7.13.18. Business at only one place. A license under this Section authorizes the licensee to <br />carry on its business only at the permanent place of business designated in the license.. However, <br />upon written request, the City may approve an off-site locked and secured storage facility. The <br />licensee shall permit inspection of the facility in accordance with (INSPECTION_OF ITEMS). <br />All provisions of this Section regarding record keeping and reporting apply to the facility and its <br />contents. Property shall be stored in compliance with all provisions of the city code. The licensee <br />must either own the building in which the business is conducted, and any approved off-site <br />storage facility, or have a lease on the business premise that extends for more than six (6) <br />months. . <br />7.13.19 Notice. Should any Section, section, subsection, clause or other provision of <br />this ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall <br />not effect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any part other than the part so declared <br />invalid. <br />Historical Note <br />Ord. #02-04 modified § 7.13.06 to increase the <br />Established by Ord. #90-15, July 10, 1990, number of days a pawnshop must hold on to items from <br />five (5) days to thirty (30) days.
