Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #09-04-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2009 MIDYEAR BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE SECOND HALF COMMUNTY EDUCATION PROGRAM WHEREAS, during the year 2009, the Ramsey City Council acted on matters impacting revenue and expenditures budgets of the City's General fund for items that were not included in the original budget for December. 31, 2009; and WHEREAS, for financial reporting purposes, amendments to the City's General Fund Budget are to be made in the form of a Budget Amendment Resolution; and WHEREAS, at the regular City Council Meeting of March 24, 2009, City Council amended the adopted 2009 General Fund Budget due to a significant decrease in budgeted building permit revenue and Market Value Homestead Credit; and WHEREAS, included in these amendments was the reduction of the second half payment to the Anoka Hennepin Community Education Program in the amount of$16,888; and WHEREAS, staff learned after the formal amendment that a Joint Powers Agreement existed between the City and Anoka Hennepin that requires an one-hundred eighty day termination notice; and WHEREAS, the Community Education Program will need to be reinstated in the Gener'll Fund budget for the second half payment in the amount of $16,888 with the proposed funding from the Council Contingency fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the 2009 General Fund Budget will be re-amended to reinstate the second half payment to the Anoka Hennepin .Community Education Program in the amount of $16,888. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: -90-
