Case #6 STAFF UPDATE <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reviewed some projects. <br />He stated that Marten EDM is considering an expansion. <br />Wyatt Earp's had its ribbon cutting and grand opening on April ls~ 2009. <br />JJ's Pizza is planning on opening May 3ra 2009 this is the old Mansetti's Pizza space. <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan mentioned the press release regarding <br />The Ramsey Town. Center, stating that date for the closing is set for June 26~' 2009. <br />City Administrator Kurt Ulrich mentioned that there was a lot of buzz out there with buyers, <br />developers asking how they can plug in and get involved. <br />The Armstrong Boulevard project has been identified by City Council as an important piece to <br />get in the interchange to provide easy excess in and out for retail. Pursuing a design bill for <br />legislation and that it is going along very well. <br />City Administrator Ulrich, Mayor Ramsey and Councilmember Look met with Representative <br />Michelle Bachmann on Apri18~' 2009. The primary topics of discuss were the transportation <br />infrastructure for this area. This would include the Armstrong Boulevard project, the rail station <br />and completion of Highwayl0. <br />Member Look stated that Congresswomen Bachmann was made aware of our interest in having <br />the VA to look at Ramsey for the VA Clinic. <br />Economic Development coordinator Sullivan stated each year a business is chosen as Business <br />of the Year. This year on the Business Expo registration form there is a slot for nominations. <br />There will be a box set out at the Business Expo. <br />MEMBER INPUT <br />Member Elvig discussed the idea of having an electronic billboard on Highway 10. <br />He would like this on the agenda for a future meeting. <br />ADJOURN <br />Motion by Member LeTourneau ,seconded by Member Steffen to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried.
