CASE # <br />CONSIDER PURCHASE OF <br />LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK 2, SMITH ADDITION <br />By: William K. Goodrich, City Attorney <br />Background: <br />.Staff and Mayor Ramsey have spoken with David Smith regarding the purchase of his property <br />located on Alpine Drive and legally described above. These lots are encumbered by drainage <br />,and utility easements with the majority of the lots being wetland. The City has considered <br />purchasing those lots at various times for park land purposes. The City's Park Commission has <br />recommended the purchase. The land is now available at a very reasonable price which is <br />$40,000.00 plus City payment of delinquent taxes of approximately $12,000.00.
