C-11 Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #09-OS-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ANOKA COUNTY HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (HRA) TO RELEASE HELD FUNDS TO THE CITY TO BE USED IN THE PURCHASE OF RAMSEY TOWN CENTER WHEREAS, annually the Anoka County HRA levies an HRA levy on Ramsey residents; and WHEREAS, the levy has been used to help pay the debt service of the Savannah Oaks' Senior Housing Project; and WHEREAS, after all applicable debt service payments, the HRA levy has created a positive balance, held on behalf of the. City by the County HRA, in the amount of $595,641; and WHEREAS, the City would like to have the County HRA release these funds to the City and its Housing. and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) to be used towards the purchase price of the Ramsey Town Center foreclosed land; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Housing and Redevelopment Authority will be acquiring the Ramsey Town Center property in June, 2009. NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY," STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the request of the Anoka County HRA funds, held on behalf of the City, to be returned to the City. 2. When funds, estimated to be $595,641 are received from the Anoka County HRA, the City Council will have the City's HRA apply these funds towards the purchase price of the Ramsey Town Center project. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and. adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12~' day of May 2009. _~~_
