<br />PRESENTATION - Anoka High School Students Natalie Hayford and Laura Knoll <br />regarding Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) <br /> <br />Ms. Knoll and Ms. Hayford presented some statistics regarding teen driving accident rates. They <br />noted that they are involved in a contest for Act Out Loud to win $10,000 for the community for <br />safe teen driving programs. They announced that people could vote at actoutloud.org. They <br />performed a "rap" about this program and distributed flyers with the details. <br /> <br />THANK YOU TO ARBOR DAY P ARTICIP ANTS <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey acknowledged that the City celebrated Arbor Day by planting trees on May 4, <br />2009. He thanked the businesses and people involved in assisting with this event. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that he would like to add Case #9: Consider authorizing staff to <br />hire LSA Design to Complete Federal Applications for CMAQ and TIGGER Grants. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that Consent Item #6 should be moved to the regular agenda as <br />Case #10. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Dehen, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve the agenda <br />with the addition of Case #9: Consider authorizing staff to hire LSA Design to Complete Federal <br />Applications for CMAQ and TIGGER Grants and Case #10: Approve Purchase Agreement for <br />the Purchase if Property Located in the Highway 10 Corridor (Clint A. Wilson Parcel) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey and Councilmembers Dehen, Jeffrey, Elvig, Look, <br />McGlone and Wise. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve the following <br />items on the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Jeffrey noted that under license applications, he would like <br />to note that Wyatt Earp's is bringing back a Fourth of July event and that they have and will be <br />holding many other community events. <br /> <br />1) Receive Report of Pooled Cash Flows Period Ended April 30, 2009 <br />2) Note Commission Meeting Minutes <br />a) Economic Development Authority (EDA)/Joint EDA/City CouncillMarch 19,2009 <br />b) Environmental Policy Board (EPB)/ April 6, 2009 <br /> <br />City Council / May 12, 2009 <br />Page 3 of 13 <br />
