She sought to add a second floor to an existing noIi-. <br />conforming building. The bUilding failed to conform to the front yaJ:d <br />setback and. maximum building coverage requirements for the district <br />where it was located. Moon applied to the town's zoning board of ap- <br />peals (the "Board") for a variance in order to add additional living <br />space to the second story of the building. Moon proposed to increase <br />the height of the building within the front yard setback. Her proposed <br />renovations would not have altered or expanded the building's existing <br />nonconforming footpririt. <br />The Board denied Moon's req:uested variance.
