Environmental Coordinator Anderson presented the staff report.

Mayor Ramsey read the Arbor Day Proclamation resolution adopted by City Council on April
28, 2009.

BOARD INPUT

Environmental Coordinator Anderson provided an update on a Lower Rum River Water
Management Meeting that occurred earlier that afternoon. The LRR WMO is contemplating
whether to include a wetland buffer requirement in its third generation plan.

Board Member Enstrom requested a special meeting be held in May to discuss this.

Mayor Ramsey stated that he spoke with Ralph Brauer about an OST style meeting to look at the
topic of wetland buffers but that to advertise for this, the City would likely need to utilize the
Ramsey Resident newsletter and possibly a utility bill insert.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that due to the timing of the next newsletter and
utility billing, it likely wouldn't be necessary to hold a special meeting prior to the regularly
scheduled June meeting.

Acting Chairperson Max thanked Environmental Coordinator Anderson for his effort regarding
the Environmental Expo.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Board Member Stodola and seconded by Board Member Bentz to adjourn the
meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m. so the Board could begin planting trees.

Respectfully submitted,

t1i:i~~

Environmental Coordinator

Environmental Policy Board / May 4, 2009
Page 2 of2
