<br />Case #4:, <br /> <br />Discuss Outdoor Meetings and Invitation to City Council for a Joint Meeting <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor asked if the Commission would like to continue the outdoor meeting schedule <br />and asks that the Commission work with staff to assist with review of meeting minutes. The <br />Outdoor meeting schedule was determined as follows: The May meeting will be in the City <br />Council chambers and the minutes will be recorded from the QCTV broadcast. The June meeting <br />will be joint with City Council to be held at Alpine Park and TimeSavers will have a recording <br />secretary available for this meeting. July will be held at Riverdale Park and City staff will record <br />the meeting minutes. The August meeting will be held at Sunfish Lake Park and City staff will <br />record the meeting minutes. The September meeting will be held in City Council Chambers and <br />minutes will be recorded for the QCTV broadcast. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Johns, seconded by Commissioner Shryock to cut back on the summer <br />meeting schedule and have the June meeting at Alpine Park, July meeting at River-dale Park and <br />August meeting at Sunfish Lake Park and as tradition invite City Council for a joint meeting in <br />June. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Shryock, Barr, Erickson, Hansen Voting No: <br />None. Absent: Commissioner Backous and Commissioner LaMere. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />River's Bend.5th Addition <br /> <br />Park Supervisor Riverblood explained the City agreed to sell the property between pumphouse <br />No land Well No 2 along Xkimo east of 47 in line with the old town hall, the south municipal <br />land along Xhimo Street which is informally known as the sliding hill. This involves rezoning, <br />and Park Dedication was not part of this deal, staff is following through with the Planning <br />Commission with the details on the sale of this property. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shryock, seconded by Barr to direct staff or Council to work on <br />verbage to establish permanent protection to the remainder portion of River's Bend Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Shryock, Barr, Erickson, Hansen Voting No: <br />None. Absent: Commissioner Backous and Commissioner LaMere. <br /> <br />Staff Input: <br /> <br />Sunfish Lake Park low bid approved by Council. Sunfish Park construction is beginning to <br />become very active. Off.leash dog park will be available for use in April. The service learning <br />project and the interpretive signage project together with interpretive learning was discussed. <br /> <br />Commission Hansen discussed the ARAA will agree to pay for one of the automatic doors at one <br />shelter if the City agrees to do the other one. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/April9, 2009 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />
