Mayor Ramsey stated that this was the direction given at the Work Session, unless there is a <br />different motion made tonight. <br />Motion by Councilmember Dehen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to have staff look at <br />three graphic design portfolios, meet with them and come back with a quote before a design is <br />completed for the new Ramsey Resident. <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes:. Councilmembers Dehen and Elvig. Voting No: Mayor Ramsey and <br />Councilmembers Jeffrey, Look, McGlone and Wise. <br />St. Katharine Drexel Party in the Park <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated that June 13, 2009, is the Party in the Park at Central Park for St. <br />Katharine Drexel. <br />Wyatt EgM s Fourth of July <br />Councilmember Jeffrey noted that Wyatt Earp's is planning a big July 4 celebration. <br />Flag Retirement at Veteran's Park <br />Councilmember Look stated that on June 14, 2009, there will be a Flag retirement event at <br />Veteran's Park. He noted that they are also accepting donations for men and women serving in <br />Iraq. <br />Joint Parks and Recreations and City Council Meeting <br />Public Works Director Olson noted that the Joint Parks /City Council meeting will be Thursday <br />evening, June 11, 2009. <br />Taxable Market Values from Anoka County <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that the City has received taxable market values from Anoka <br />County, which indicate that the City has had an 8.4% reduction. <br />Arends Family Update <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson noted that she and City Attorney Goodrich met with <br />Attorney General's office on behalf of the Arends family. She reviewed the background <br />information on their situation and how they came to receive their home. She stated that the <br />Attorney General's office was very interested in the situation and committed to helping the <br />family stay in the home.
