Special Events Permits are extremely temporary in nature. The <br />Special Events Permit is valid until an Interim Use Permit is either approved or denied. NorthWest <br />Radio Club has Informed the City that they plan on flying starting Monday, May 11. <br /> <br />. . <br />The purpose of this Special Events Permit is to allow the club to start flying aircraft sooner than <br />would be allowed under the normal Interim Use Permit review process. This also provides the City <br />a unique opportuni~ to study actual conditions that arise from this interim use before either <br />approving or denying the Interim Use Permit. Interim Use Permits can be approved for a ma.ximum <br />of five years unless otherwIse extended by City Council. The City is interested in hearing your <br />feedback from this operation, either in support or not in support. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission opened the Public Hearing for the Interim Use Permit request on <br />Thursday, May 7. It was the determination of the Planning Commission to recess the Public Hearing <br />until the June Planning Commission in order for City Staff to take noise readings-and study any <br />potential traffic impacts resulting from the use.. This also gives you as residents an opportunitytb <br />provide feedback on how the use is or is not impacting your neighborhood under actual conditions. <br /> <br />I thank you for your feedback on thi.s application.
