The following is a brief summary of actions taken in early June 2009 that may be <br />of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Highwcfy 10 Performance Standards. City Council discussed code enforcement and performance <br />standards along the Highway 10 corridor. Items of discussion included off-street parking, paving <br />requirements, and outside storage among others. The outcome of that meeting is that Staff will be <br />conducting an inventory of existing conditions and follow up with a survey to businesses and property <br />owners. - The results of the inventory and survey will be reviewed by a City Council sub-committee to <br />formulate recommendations to City Council. . . <br /> <br />Regulation of Motor Vehicle Sales. The City Council discussed limiting the number of motor vehicles <br />sales allowed in the City. The outcome of the discussion is that Staff will prepare an amendment to City <br />Code to change MotorVehicle Sales and Repair as a Conditional Use rather than a Permitted Use. The <br />Ordinance will be available for the Planning Commission to review at a future meeting. <br /> <br />Request for Extension to Submit Final Plat for Summerset Meadows Subdivision. The City Council <br />approved a 30-day extension to submit a Final Plat for the Summerset Meadows Subdivision. This will <br />allow the City and the Applicant time to work out additional details and possibly implement a phased <br />fmal platting process. <br /> <br />Request for C( Conditional Use Permit to Allowfor Motor Vehicle Sales in the E-l District. The City <br />Council approved a Conditional Use Permit for auto sales for Diamond Auto. <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Allow for Indoor Retail Sales of Motor Vehicles. The City <br />Council approved a Conditional Use Permit for Complete Motqrsports at 13915 Radium St NW. <br /> <br />Ramsey Town Center Acquisition. The City successfully closed on the purchase of the Ramsey Town <br />Center Addition on Friday, June 26th.
