<br />Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #09-07-149 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING ANOKA COUNTY HOUSING AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY UPDATE THE MARKET ANALYSIS FOR <br />AFFORDABLE WORKFORCE AND SENIOR HOUSING AND AUTHORIZE <br />THE COUNTY HRA TO FUND THE UPDATE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey requested Anoka County perform a market <br />analysis for affordable workforce and senior housing and a study of redevelopment <br />August9, 2005; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey accepted the Analysis of Demand for <br />Affordable Workforce and Senior Housing in Ramsey, Minnesota prepared by Maxfield <br />Research Inc" May 9, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is interested in determining the need for <br />workforce and senior housing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan specifically states a policy of working <br />with local and regional housing agencies to identify low and moderate housing needs; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, County HRA has indicated the desire to explore the potential for <br />redevelopment of the current Allina site and participate in the update of the Market <br />Analysis, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council requests that Anoka County HRA conduct an <br />update to the Market Analysis for Workforce and Senior Housing that was <br />completed in April 2006; and <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council requests that the Anoka County HRA fund the <br />update for the Market Analysis. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor <br />Ramsey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Look <br /> <br />Resolution #09-07-149 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
