FACT #_ RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM MARK LOFGREN FOR A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT TO <br />OPERATE A GENERAL CONTRACTOR BUSINESS ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED <br />AT 16507 GERMANIUM STREET NW. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Mark Lofgren requesting a <br />home occupation permit to operate a general contractor business on the property generally known <br />as 16507 Germanium St NW and legally des~ribed as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 5, Block 2, White Pine Estates, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TillS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />R.AM:SEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />1. That on June 26, 2009, Mark Lofgren, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", properly <br />applied for a home occupation permit (the "Permit") to operate a general contractor <br />business on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />2. That businesses operating within a principle dwelling or accessory structure in the R-1 <br />Rural Developing District require the issuance of a. home occupation permit when off- <br />street parking operates beyond the parameters of 9.11.08 (Residential Development Off- <br />Street Parking). <br /> <br />3. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 (Conditional Use Permits) of-the City Code' on <br />August 6,2009, and that said public hearing was properly advertised. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Residential - Rural Developing, and the <br />surrounding parcels are also zoned R-1 Residential- Rural Developing. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is approximately 1.21 acres. <br /> <br />6. That the Subject Property is surrounded by lots of various sizes ranging from roughly <br />one (1) acre to about 4.40 acres. <br /> <br />7. That the Subject Property is irregularly shaped, making it difficult to identify the <br />transition point between the front and side yar~i. <br /> <br />44 <br />
