Waiting for economy to <br />settle down before moving forward. <br /> <br />Indoor Firing Range- Staff has been working with an individual that is considering a <br />business start-up that would bring a Gun Range to the City of Ramsey. The City Council <br />Directed Staff to research this further at Work Session. <br /> <br />Production Design Products - Staff met with architect, project is being re-visited. <br /> <br />Business Grand Openings: The Bank of Elk River at Coborn's in Ramsey on August 20th at <br />10 AM. Please attend if possible for the ribbon cutting and photo. <br /> <br />Business Communication Initiatives: Business Appreciation Day on August 18, 2009, and <br />Business Connection in Fall/Winter. Staff is busy with preparations for the event. It appears as <br />if the event will not fill out for the first time in a long time. Attendance at other event that are <br />similar in nature has be significantly down this year. The Economic Development Coordinator <br />has contacted DEED Commissioner McElroy's office and he is interested in speaking for our <br />event. His availability for mornings is tough and that will lead to the meeting likely taking place <br />in October. <br /> <br />Community Revitalization Projects <br /> <br />5175 142nd Avenue NW: Staff is continuing to market this property. <br /> <br />14050 Basalt Street: Staff is continuing to market this property. <br /> <br />6590 141 5t Avenue: Staff is continuing to market this property. <br /> <br />14105 Azurite Street: Tag Machine project is complete and they are now occupying the building. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous <br /> <br />Town Center: City Staff is monitoring the Veteran Administration site that will have an RFP <br />posted for a project to be constructed in the NW Metropolitan Area. Staff anticipates that the <br />Town Center would be a desirable location for the clinic. <br /> <br />15 <br />
