Tim Gladhill
From: - Rick Crosby [rickcmn@hotmail.com]
Sent: Sunday, July 05, 200910:49 AM
To: Tim Gladhill
Subject: Wind Energy
I do not thin. I will6e a6le to make the meeting on Wednesday the 15th so I thought I would send in my opinion. I personally
do not 6etieve that wind energy is worth any further study due to the fact that there are no ways to store the energy that the
windmills produce. Most studies that I have read and articles on the subject of wind energy show that it would take decades to
recover the investment. The same goes for solar, I do not understand why everyone is pushing wind energy without the
technology to store the electricity. I understand that there are some test 6atteries from japan down near lr-ipestone at that wind
farm (I am not sure if they are in place yetdown there but from what I read they are the size of a semi trailer. dais is something
that may 6e possi6le 6ut it will6e a very long time to get a storage cell that is small enough to make them practical
I just hope the city of Xamsey has not spent any of our tax- dollars to get this research.
lfiG /'WI
Ramsey MN.
