Attachment F <br />ORDINANCE 909 - <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNT <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS ZONING AND SUBDIVISION <br />OF LAND. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9.02 TITLED "DEFINITIONS" <br />AND CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9.20 TITLED "ZONING DISTRICTS" AND ADDING <br />CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9.17 TITLED "WIND ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEMS" OF <br />THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT <br />Section 9.02 of the City Code entitled Definitions is amended to include the following: <br />Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS). Any device such as a wind charger, wind mill, or <br />wind turbine and associated facilities that converts wind energy to electrical energy. This <br />equipment includes any base, blade, foundation, generator, nacelle, rotor, tower, transformer, <br />vane, wire, inverter, or other component used in.the system. <br />WECS, Blade. A component of a WECS mounted to the rotor, causing the rotor to rotate under <br />wind conditions. <br />WECS, Medium -Scale. A WECS with a height between 101 feet and 200 feet tail, including the <br />blade. <br />WECS, Micro -Scale. A WECS mounted to an existing Structure. <br />WECS, Small -Scale. A WECS with a height no greater than 50 feet tall, including the blade. <br />WECS, Utility -Scale. A WECS with a height greater than 200 feet, including the blade. <br />Section 9.20 of the City Code entitled Zoning Districts is amended to include the following: <br />Micro -Scale WECS and Small -Scale WECS shall be permitted as a Conditional Use in the R-1 <br />Residential, R-2 Residential, R-3 Residential, B-1 Business, B-2 Highway Business, E-1 <br />Employment, E-2 Employment, Publie/Quasi Public, TC -1, TC -2, TC -3, and TC -5 Zoning <br />Districts. <br />Medium -Scale WECS shall be permitted as a Conditional Use in the B-1 Business, B-2 Highway <br />Business, E-1 Employment, E-2. Employment, Public/Quasi Public, TC -1, TC -2, TC -3, and TC -5 <br />
